In Print Art Book Fair (IPABF) is pleased to announce our fourth annual art book fair scheduled to take place this January 11-13, 2023. IPABF 2023 is located at The Hansen House, a cultural hub and historical building in the Talbieh neighborhood of Jerusalem. Free and open to the public, the event attracts thousands of individuals including book enthusiasts, collectors, curators, artists, publishers and art world professionals each year.

The first and only event of its kind in Jerusalem, In Print Art Book Fair celebrates the medium of print through the lens of art books. With a fair map spanning two floors of curated booths, visitors to IPABF will have the opportunity to view and purchase hundreds of art books presented by local and international participants. Our specialized programming features events daily, including exclusive art book launches, talks and workshops.

At In Print Art Book Fair 2023, we’re thrilled to have the participation of 65 diverse exhibitors from around the world, including a broad range of artists, collectives and institutions, alongside small presses, publishers and book distributors. Year after year, In Print Art Book Fair serves as a meeting place in Jerusalem’s art scene for local and extended printmaking communities to exchange dialogue and ideas around art publishing.

In Print Art Book Fair Promising Artist Award 2023

This year, we’re pleased to announce the first annual In Print Art Book Fair Promising Artist Award. The prize supports emerging art bookmakers and encourages the continued production and distribution of art books. Our recipient is granted an exhibitors table and an art book launch promoting their newest release.

The inaugural In Print Art Book Fair Promising Artist Award for IPABF 2023 is Meytar Moran, who has graduated within the last five years and recently published her debut book of art and poetry Step, Harm, Wound (Eyruvin Publishing, 2022). The book deals with topics such as love, loss, faith, the essence of life and the unknown. It was designed by Moran and incorporates visual works as well as unique themes. In recent months, Moran has been developing a body of work which corresponds and expands on materials from her book, under the title AUTOMATA, which includes a collaborative dance performance piece, sound, video and sculpture.

We chose Moran because of the quality of her work, her link to the world of printing and bookmaking, and because of the impact she has already made.

Meytar Moran is a multidisciplinary artist and poet, whose practice utilizes photography, video, digital media, sound and sculpture. Moran holds an MFA (with honors) in Photography from the School of Visual Arts, NY (May ’17) and a BFA (with honors) in photography (July, ’13) from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem. Moran has exhibited internationally in New York, San Diego, Cape Town, Tel Aviv, and Warsaw.
