Jerusalem Design Week returns in an expansive new edition, taking place 9–16 July 2026. Since its founding in 2011, Jerusalem Design Week has become a unique platform for the development of original works, international collaborations, and the presentation of new, groundbreaking design projects. Bringing together more than 100 participants, it is Israel’s largest and leading public cultural event dedicated to design. Admission is free and open to the public.

Jerusalem Design Week presents dozens of new works by designers and creators from Israel and around the world, all developed especially for the event. Spread throughout Hansen House and across the city of Jerusalem, the programme offers a multidisciplinary experience featuring exhibitions, installations, performances, screenings, talks, and live events. This year’s edition is co-led by creator and director Roni Azgad-Hamburger, joining curator and designer Sonja Olitsky. The content programme will be curated by Yuval Mendelson—musician, actor, and screenwriter—bringing a broad cultural perspective to the week’s events.

This year’s theme, “Match Point,” explores the intersection of sport and design, examining how ideas of victory, defeat, competition, and belonging are translated into contemporary creative practice. It considers how the rules, imagery, and cultural codes of sport permeate design and reshape it in new ways. Against the backdrop of the major international sporting events taking place in the summer of 2026—including the FIFA World Cup, the Wimbledon Championships, and the Maccabiah Games—Jerusalem Design Week offers a fresh reading of sports culture, not merely as a field of achievement, but as a social, political, and emotional arena.

Stay in Jerusalem During Design Week

Alongside its artistic programme, Jerusalem Design Week offers visitors the opportunity to experience the city in a richer and more immersive way. Guests staying overnight in Jerusalem during the festival will receive a dedicated VIP wristband, providing convenient access between the event’s main venues. The wristband includes a complimentary shuttle service connecting participating hotels, Hansen House, and the Jerusalem Cinematheque—hosting the Jerusalem Film Festival during the same period—as well as a range of exclusive benefits, including priority entry to events, discounts at the Hansen House Sports Bar, and special offers at selected venues across the city.

Additional benefits include guided tours, meetings with designers and artists, and organised access to exhibitions and featured projects, offering visitors a deeper, multi-layered perspective on Jerusalem’s contemporary creative scene.
