The Hansen House Administration
After more than one hundred years of seclusion, The Hansen House, known as the leper asylum, is now reopened to the public. The house and the garden were preserved and conserved throughout 2011-2013 by the Jerusalem Development Authority, in cooperation with Ran Wolf Urban Planning and Project Management. Throughout the preservation process, the Hansen House has hosted art and cultural events, dance shows and movie screenings in the garden. Today the Hansen House is a home for artists and creators, and design, media and technology academy scholars. It offers a creation and research platform, where professional, curious audience can be exposed to work process. The Hansen House administration works to invigorate the city of Jerusalem and its community of creators, while respecting the city’s different institutes
